Welcome
to the Kent Family History Society. We are the largest and oldest
Family History Society in Kent, with over 4,000 members worldwide
and with branches in Ashford, Canterbury, Deal, Maidstone, Medway
(Strood), Thanet (Birchington) and on the Internet. These meetings
are free to local members, or to any member visiting the County.
Being
the largest and oldest Family History Society in Kent, we are
uniquely able to help members to learn how to research their own
family tree. Visit a branch meeting, come and get involved and
join a visit to the National Archives or a day trip to the WW1
Battlefields.
As we are
the largest and oldest Family History Society in Kent, having
been established in 1974, we have a huge archive of over 2,000
records on microfiche, most of which are available also on CD.
These publications are available at a reduced price to members
and are available to non-members at full price, We also have a
comprehensive Bookstall which sells books, CD's, microfiche etc
from other publishers ranging from Parish Registers to Trade Directories,
from Flash drives to Village sign books, from Muster Rolls to
Then & Now pictorial books.
