First Names Block

This block displays a list of the 10 (configurable) most common given names. Similar in function to the Most Common Surnames block.
It requires PGV ver 4.1.5 or above.
Installation instructions, and a comment on its limitations is in the ReadMe.txt file included.

UK Language conversions for PhpGedView

PhpGedView, as with most software, is written using American as its basic language. Many other languages can be set, but one that has never been included is 'English', as used in the United Kingdom.
However, through adding a file called extra.en.php in the 'languages' folder PGV has built in the ability to over-ride any existing language settings.
This file contains a number of conversions from American to UK English, notably:
1 - the word COLOR to COLOUR
2 - FAVORITE to FAVOURITE
3 - Various occurrences of the letter 'Z' changed to 'S' (e.g. 'Synchronise' instead of 'Synchronize').
IMPORTANT NOTE - if you use this file you will need to monitor future language changes and additions in PGV. I cannot guarantee to update this version at any time. |

This is the latest version of Pedigree Map, tested and in use on PhpGedView here, version 4.1.6 SVN. At the time of uploading this file is tested to svn 3769.
As well as working with all the latest improvements to PGV, it incorporates a number of its own changes. I'm grateful to 'coloredpixels' for this great work.

I've wanted for a long time to use the Google Map concept for a pedigree chart / map - and finally got round to writing it.
Probably not the best piece of programming, but it seems to work well, within some limitations.
The zip file includes a readme.txt file with installation (fairly easy) and use instructions.
Its appears as a new option under the 'Charts' menus (both main menu and 'options for
individuals') and can be seen there on the PGV areas of this site.
[Note: this v2 has a minor change to pedigree_map.php, making the edit options below the map available to admin only, as on the normal MAP tab]

A collection of csv files containing location co-ordinates for English places for use with the GoogleMaps module of PHPGedView. Zip file contains one file for each county and a ReadMe file explaining their limitations. |
